Today has been the third day of the National Novel Writing Month. I am, of course, participating and hoping to complete a novel by the end of November. It will not be easy.
The general word-count goal for any participating is 50,000, and so far I have written 4,243 words. Although I am almost 800 words short of the target goal of 5,000 words by this point, I am pleased with my progress. I've never written a novel before, definitely not 50,000 words for any writing project. To be honest, I don't think I've reached 10,000. To go from never crossing the 10,000 word threshold to reach the plateau of 50,000 will be challenging, but that it why I signed up for the competition. I don't care about winning it, though it would be pretty great if I did. I will just be happy writing a novel from start to finish.
You can keep up with my progress by checking my blog, going to my Facebook page, or by taking a look at my goal tracker for my novel at the National Novel Writing Month website (nanowrimo.org). Thanks!
